Ahmadinejad didn't lose; he couldn't run. The guy that did win is definitely more moderate than he was, so that's good, but as you said, it doesn't mean a whole lot. The "democratically elected" president of Iran isn't much more than a figurehead. It's the ayatollah and the rest of the theocracy that hold the real power.

DANG, you're right...........I guess he's been in power for so long and him killing opposition last time around GUARANTEED he was going to try something this time around.
