    Ants

Is it just me or are they unusally bad this year. I don't get many inside as I fight them out doors but dang the wife and I can't even scratch around in the yard without getting them on us it seems, lol.
Even the little Dog gets them on her sometimes when she is trying to Pee. Mostly those smaller black ants and very small brown ones. Neighbors are saying the same thing, what are you guys seeing.....

Nothing around my house with ants. Actually I usually get those black ones inside in the kitchen by now but they haven't popped up.

Covered up with them at Q-Manor...little ones all in the garage and getting up into the kitchen, plus the mulch in the backyard around the deck has a lot. I've sprayed...and broken the path that they used to enter the garage by coating the crap out of it with WD-40. (Old trick my Granddad told me once.) I'm finally winning the battle against the little suckers right now, but earlier this Spring they were terrible.

Guys here at work are talking about them to. I guess it's this string of mild winters, who knows but they are everywhere.

WD-40 or Duct Tape... I swear, that'll fix most any problem.

    The ants wouldn't cross it.

O.K. I sprayed the WD-40 on the Duct tape and now all I have is rust resistant tape that won't stick to anything!

Your are probably dealing with odorous house ants and thief ants. Odorous house ants can be difficult to kill. Baits are your best DYI option if you can get them to feed on it.

Describe them if you will.....Also what are the small black ants I see outside often that are all the exact same size, probably about 3/16'' or maybe a 1/4''. They all look identical and are fast as lighting. See them out in the afternoon when it's hot mostly?

    hey mhall,

Go to southern states and buy a product called Talstar. that is what i use to get rid of bugs and pretty much anything else. It is the same stuff the bug man uses. The label says one ounce to a gallon so i put 4 ounces to a gallon and have no problem with anykind of bugs. The label clearly states if swallowed drink water if able to. It is good stuff and has a low odor. I spray it on the yard to kill junebugs and all around the house to kill anyother kinda bug. look up the MSDS on it and i am sure you will be impressed and if u purchase some you will no longer have ants or anyother bug...
