I've had good luck with the Hot Shot Ant Baits. My mailbox was covered with 'em. I put a couple of those baits around it, and now they're gone.

We usually have them coming in all of our windows every spring and summer. I read about this liquid ant trap product and is has worked for us. I put them on the outside of the window seal and anywhere you see them in numbers and it has done the trick. I am not sure if it is pet safe though so you may want to check that. We have an indoor cat and only use this product outside.

What you described is odorous house ants. Baits will work. Talstar is a good product, no need to use at 4x. The problem with OHA's is you have to be persistent. You can kill them all today and have more show up the next day. Colonies will move from one place to another easily.
