I have a 50hp mercury 2cycle motor and all I used in it is premium quicksilver but im wanting to go to penzoil plus would that be ok to do???

I have a 150 Johnson, '03 model, I switched from Johnson oil to Penzoil about 3 years ago, and it runs fine.

I have a 93 Johnson 200 GT. They say be careful what oil you use on these because I haven't ripped the VRO out. The only two they recommend is Pennzoil and Johnson/Evinrude Oil. I run Pennzoil because you can buy it at walmart and I've never had an issue.
