    Wendy Davis and Political Polarization

I'm sure a lot of you disagree with what she's doing, but no matter which side of the issue you're on, I don't think there's any arguing with the last two paragraphs:

Some people mocked Barack Obama for arguing in 2008 that he could bring Republicans and Democrats together to transcend party divisions.

What most forget is that George W. Bush made exactly the same promise in 2000 ("I don't have enemies to fight," he said in his convention speech. "And I have no stake in the bitter arguments of the last few years. I want to change the tone of Washington to one of civility and respect."). Bill Clinton said the same thing in 1992. None of them succeeded, and it doesn't seem like that unity is in the offing any time soon.

Well the article was sure full of slams against the GOP.... According to this contributing editor...if Republicans have power at the state level women and the poor will suffer. Really? Is that what history has proven?? Or is that just an opinion to further his own agenda?? That kind drivel from CNN is why they are a joke.

As far as Obama uniting the two parties....he was to polarizing to begin with. Sure there is always "Hope" but it was like the past politicians...it just sounds good. Kinda like the miss America pageant and the answer of ..well I would change the world, stop hunger, stop the hurt and have everyone love one another...or something like that. It means nothing but has to be said. Know what I mean??

The problem I see is that party politics is about the party not the people so both parties will do or say anything to have control. Billions of dollars are at stake every election and nothing will stop these people. I think Obama did one thing better than anyone I know of .......he pushed the black/white racial divide father apart than anyone in recent history and IMO it wont end when he leaves office it will get worse. Not so much about polarization as it is about the fourth estate:
