The loomis and St. Croix high dollar rods are not a gimmick....a lighter more sensitive rod, which they without question are, will most assuredly enable you to detect more bites when using baits that require feel. i learned this lesson on St. Clair when comparing a cheap rod to a GLX spinning rod...catch rate was 3 to 1 with the GLX all because you could feel the bite.Originally Posted by MagikSmallie
