When I saw Bruce in Louisville, it was at the peak of his pro-Obama involvement in the election. He had just finished a benefit concert for BO, as a matter of fact. I was prepared, given how outspoken Springsteen was, for a diatribe, and also prepared to walk out if I heard one.

To his credit, he left politics out of it. People kept offering him homemade political signs to hold up and he passed on every one.

Great concert by a guy whose politics just happen to be wacky.

I guess I'm a lot more narrow minded than I thought was. Concerts? Last one I attended was about 1955 JATP at the philharmonic. Unless I'm in a car with cirrus,my radio is off or on NPR. My companion asks why I hate music? I tell her there isn't on anymore that I can understand or tolerate. I'm not interested in entertainers views on anything, except what they do! To me most country music is drivel. A band with no sax or piano is noise! Hip Hop is gibberish, heavy metal is loud, and makes no sense to me. I like to read, the last book I read was Insane City by Dave Berry, he mentioned a song by someone named Riskay, thought he made it up. low and behold it was a video song. If a certain percent of the American population would listen to something like that, heaven help us! A couple of years ago, one of my children mentioned going to a concert, and the money it costed.
