    some tasty looking food for sure, but I would like to see the northern smallies with scales on them. glade you made some good memories with your Daughter. thats what makes life worth while.

    As always it looks like you made some great memories and the food looks amazing! Here I sit wondering what to eat for dinner and the food you made while out fishing makes me want steak and something sweet like cake or pancakes!!

    I agree that good food goes a long way toward morale at the camp. In canada we ate smallies for supper every night and had a guy in camp that made a different desert in a dutch oven every night. That was one of the best vacations ive had the luxury of taking. Drinking purified lake water and taking solar showers. Catching a couple hundred smallies up to 5lbs a day didnt hurt anything either

    I don't use a dutch oven due to weight on portages, but yea, FOOD makes a trip.

    When I take the kids, I know it is not a "fishing" trip. While we fished, we did a whole lot more. We visited cliffs, hiked waterfalls, picked blueberries, and fished a few times.
