    Question Wacky tachometer??

I have a Nitro with XR6 150 2005. Took boat out last weekend and at idle and 3/4 throttle my tach started jumping around, up and down, dropping to 0 and all the way to the top. Then it would be fine. Anyone know what is going on? Is it a rectifier/regulator or does the tach need cleaning or adjusting? Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Bassky

Mine did the same thing. I could be at idle and it would show 4000 rpm. I just replaced it and all is good.

replaced the rectifier? There are 2. Did you replace both of them? or the gauge?
