Wed Aug 14th 2013. Sunny and windy. Fish were deep. I caught two large mouth bass and two big bluegills at 15 to 17 ft deep pulling crank baits. All the fish were caught on a small 1/32 oz trailer jig except for the first big bluegills who hit the crank bait and got stuck in the right eye socket.
I returned all fish to the water.
I bought a seat cusion and sat on it thinking that my bench seat padding in my boat was getting old but that really didn't help. My butt still got sore after four hours fishing and sitting in the boat.
I'm a little sun burned and very tied. Ready to take a nap or go to bed early. I'm still rocking.
Did I say that it was WINDY? **** it was rough out there today.
Oh. Saw two new Conservation Officers at the South Launch Ramp at Bluegrass Pit. They were checking boats for fish when they came into the launch ramp. But they didn't say anything or do anything about the speeders out there today. They didn't have a boat with them. I see more people making a bow wave these days at Bluegrass than ever before. Even the little boats were out there playing around with the throttle. But their waves were not bigger than those caused by the wind. There were 2 ft high rollers and white caps on the water's surface today. Winds were out of the N today and it was around 70 to 75 deg F out there. It was chilly until I put on a jacket.
