The Yucatan Knot actually stood up to a 20lb pull on one particular application!! The Bristol Knot stands up to 16-17lbs of pull on a routine basis.

The Yucatan and Bristol Knot findings are stunning because I'm testing these knots using 6lb test lines. The two lines used in the testing process were PLine CXX and Berkley Fireline Original and these are two OUTSTANDING fishing lines. For panfishing, the PLine CXX is the absolute best mono I've encountered and the Fireline is obviously very good stuff too. The Fireline has a way of fraying though if you're not careful, DO NOT pull against the grain if you will or it will fray and you'll have to lay it back down, still good stuff and very strong.
That's interesting. I know Knot Wars a few years ago showed the Modified Albright to be the best I believe. I started using it and have been happy since. But I think your point of knowing how to tie them well and have confidence in them is spot on. I find the Albright easy to tie on the water also, so that is why I use it. That and the Palomar
