Christianity got a 600-year head start on Islam, you know. The Bible was used to justify slavery about 150 years ago. In many ways, they're still in the dark ages. We sure aren't going to make them more moderate by painting all of them as jihadists.

I just had a conversation with an atheist who said the very same thing about Christianity. He cited the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, those who used the Bible to justify slavery, the killing of homosexuals in Africa, rampant sexual abuse in the Catholic church and other denominations, and faith healers and swindlers on TV.

Do you think they actually believe that's an excuse for the actions of these Muslims we see plastered all over the news?? Were they just trying to make a point that all religions go through this learning curve?? I for one think its not even close to being a valid point when comparing the old ways to what is going on now. People can repeat history or learn from it and this day in age is a lot different than way back when or what some pervert does to kids in the Catholic Church.
Almost seems that they may excuse human slavery if we had it now like it was way back when if it was Muslim masters and such.

Heck, right now, we have so-called "Christians" in the poorest places on Earth telling people that if they just give this "man of God" what little money they do have, their pigs won't die and their wives won't miscarry.

I hope the radical faction of Islam loses the fight for who really represents Muslim thought. As Christians, we could help by recognizing the millions of Muslims who don't buy the radical line of thought; instead of painting them all as animals.

As Christians we all use the opening verse. There is but one God Allah, jews believe in neo theism.Catholixs slaughtered jews, and protestants, who did the same to catholics.Coptis were killed in the crusades by by the crusaders, Muslims killed Christians, and vice versa. The biggest problem is telling the difference between the civilized Muslims and the Animals,besides their religion states any non-muslim is an infidel and should die unless converted,Muslims allow no considerations to other religions,so why should Christians,Jews,Etc allow so many considerations for those that house Terrorists.
If they want to behead Christians,throw acid on defenseless children,mutilate teachers and scientists,then stay in their own third world dungholes.I'm sorry ,but even these supposed wonderful Muslims you speak of cry Jihad and want to bring Shria Law here in the USA. I have the same thoughts about the 11 Million illegals (or way more) crossing our Border at will,illegally voting because Obama and the Commie Dems cheat to get illegal votes,who break our laws and belittle the decent immigrants who come here legally.They come here not to be Americans,but to take our jobs,use our social services,and wave the flags of their country.
