Since when does Executive Powers give you the right to declare war? Must be George Bush's fault

Seems like I remember all these Democrat Communist Liberals crying about Bush , Iraq, and Afghanistan

Better hope the 19 Democrats up for reelection in 2014 get voted out and replaced so Obama and his band of Racist ,Terrorists can be impeached,of course by then it will be beyond repair

You guys from Indiana hear this, you Have a Democrat eligible to be replaced in 2014?

We don't have to get involved with the coutries politics, or even set one boot on the ground. It's okay for countries to have revolutions, it's not okay to use chemical weapons.

We just fly in with surgical airstrikes and wipe out the delivery systems for the chemical weapons, and the chemical weapon stock piles, and the manufacturing facilities. Just like the beginning of Desert Storm, the airstrike that cleaned out the command and control and took out the air defenses. We just target anything that has to do with the manufacturing, delivery, command and control, or storing of those weapons.

Then we back off, and let the countries politics run its course, no boots on the ground, and message sent. All countries have the right to internal strive. No country, or regime, or leader has the right to crimes against humanity.

Why? Because if Israel feels we can not protect them from chemical attack, they will protect themselves, and that would turn a little isolated mess into a real big one. And if we don't send the message to all countries, and all groups that chemical weapons will get you our attention, then we are signaling a weakness of will that absolutely will encourage more of the same behavior.

See the fly, warn the fly, swat it, and move on.

That all sounds great, Bob, but you make it sound like something we can do in a day, and I'm not so sure. I totally agree we need to protect Israel in this situation, but I also think we should not do anything unilaterally. Whatever action is taken, needs to be with international support, including the Arab League.

Naw.....I agree it might take up to 90 days, with no boots on the ground. Cause after all, what the heck is in Syria that we want to preserve. Seems to me the only message we want to send is if you got a chemical weapon stored in your basement, your roof is about to take a beating.

Agre with ya about unilateral being the way to go, just most cuntries around the world ain't got the stomach to do what needs get done. I agree with you, it's no fun being the one that has to sort the mess out.
