No.............Way to early for that yet.
Hmmm, interesting. The downrigger part I see for sure but I personally have never seen a Striper jump on that lake in August in my life and I have been going there a very long time. I'm sure it happens sometimes I've just never seen it personally. Now mid Sept through November...now we're talking......
I would love it if it was year round...![]()
What week of Sept thru Nov would be the best for the jumps??

In August of 11, and 12, I got in to good jumps morning and evening above Indian Creek,, at and around Cemetary Ridge. Since the lake has come up, I think that pattern has changed, and I think it only occurred then because of low water, high temps, and high surface temps that brought the small gizzards up.
I have saw them in jumps in July & August both. August was a very bright sunshiny day too. Was fishing a tournament, but stopped to be sure that it was Striper & it was. It probably isn't a wide spread regular occurance, but I bet it happens more than we realize. I have also caught them at night on top water on the dam rip rap & the big point of Indian Creek on the main lake in July, but that's been several years ago too.
I have caught MANY stripers at 4pm in the afternoon in August with the sun shining bright and close to 100 degrees
Fellas like I said I'm sure it happens I believe that. But if you are going to make a living chasing jumps in hot weather or this time of year ''On Cumberland'' I wish you alot of luck, LOL...
I am new to this we went to Cumberland last year on a house boat and we caught them very well on top
In fact it is all my son has talked about
We are heading back next week sept 9-13 and hope they are biting
If anyone has any kind of info I would love to have it cause I have an 8 year old that wants to really get them
Thanks
Believe me when I say I totally agree with you 100%. You talking about starving to death. lol
Last summer they were jumping bigtime in August for weeks from the dam to cemetery point in the early morning. It was extremely predictable. You could just go out there and look and listen. The fish that were jumping were the smaller fish (from what I saw) that were able to survive in the warmer water ( with good o2) from the surface down to 25'.Mark,

I have not seen or heard of that this year. Like Bob said probably had to do with the lake being our of sync.
