Why don't you try the Hi-vis Yellow PowerPro (if you like PowerPro) ?? PowerPro is definitely alot more limp than Stren braid ... reminds me of the old Cortland Braid I used to use.

Has anyone used the Stren Microfuse braid? I currently use power pro but I have a hard time seeing green.
Thanks, rustedhook

yeah...i just took it off my reels. backlash city....even with KVD line treatment. also experienced some fray. it did show up well, even night fishing.
As crazy as it sound this braid has some memory. Since 99% of braids dont have any at all. I stripped it off after the first time I used it.
i didnt like the stren braid.... they give us some down in texas and i tried it out and nope i cant stand it... i do like the power pro though.....i keep it handy..
I'm still new to braid and have only used two: Suffix and the new Stren Sonic Braid, I like them both but the Stren is quieter. It has some kind of glide coat technology, whatever than means. I don't know how either compares to power pro though...
Always liked Power Pro but the thing that I didn't like is how hard it can be to push it through the eye of a hook when tying. I still have it on my C-rig rod but that's the only baitcasting rod with braid that I use.
I use smoke Fireline on my spinning rod (#6 or #8) and I guess they put a coating on it which I find easier to use on smaller lines and lures.![]()
If you are looking for a high-vis Braid and/or flourescent, but don't like the Stren, try Sufix neon fire flourescent. It is Bright at first, but will fade a bit after use. I have had very little trouble with it and use it for Musky fishing and bass topwaters. I used the Micro-fuse stren before, and it was pretty good and helped land some good fish, but the Sufix is better overall in my opinion.
i have never used braid before, what type of fishing do you use braid such as top water, weeds, wood, exc. i am a flourocarbon man myself have it on most all my rods and mono for top water seems to do weel for me. i like the p-line copoleymer flouroclear. i have not had any proublems with it. and i use p-line mono cxx for top water and no proublems with it eaither. but if i should be using braid on some situations let me know.
thanks

Chuck, you could probably ask 10 people that question and get 10 different answers. I just started using braid myself. I really like it as my main line on a Carolina Rig. With basically no stretch, it allows for a quicker hook set. It's very sensitive and you can feel everything. I'm also trying it out for plastics and jigs but not sure if I'll keep it on those rods yet.i have never used braid before, what type of fishing do you use braid such as top water, weeds, wood, exc. i am a flourocarbon man myself have it on most all my rods and mono for top water seems to do weel for me. i like the p-line copoleymer flouroclear. i have not had any proublems with it. and i use p-line mono cxx for top water and no proublems with it eaither. but if i should be using braid on some situations let me know.

let me know how you like it on your jigs and plastics. it is hard to change lines when you finaly find one you like, i went through alot of lines till i found p-line now p-line is all i use and trust, but i dont know if they make a braid or not might have to look in to that.Chuck, you could probably ask 10 people that question and get 10 different answers.
