    Unhappy Re: Looking Ahead Bama-V-Gators

Sorry but I feel that Bama will be on the back side of a mud stomping in this game. If they barely beat a good defensive team in the Cats and the Gators rolled over the Cats so easily....Looks like the Gators will be playing for the Champeenship Game......I just can't see Bama being in the same class as Florida, sorry Bama fans....But your fate will be 12-1.......

We will see but no matter the outcome I am still optimistic. The tide is 12-0 at this point in time and sitting at the #1 spot all with a second year head coach and the YOUNGEST team in the nation. We graduated only nine scholarship seniors, less then any other team. On top of that UT and auburn have fired their coaches which will help Bama even more with recruitting. Its a good time to be a Bama fan...

But two undefeated teams like Ball State and Boise State get crapped on by the miserable College System. Sorry but an undefeated team should get precedence over a team with two loss's.

Were was your complaining last season when LSU got into the national game with 2 losses? Maybe one of those teams could take the Big Ten's spot, since that conference is about on par with the ACC and Big East.

Where was your complaints a few years ago when U of L went 11-1 and only loss was a three point loss to #4 Miami on the road, but they had to go to the Liberty Bowl while Pittsburgh and Utah played in a BCS game?

Btw, there are only eight football teams in the Big East.

U of L was not yet in a BCS Bowl League and being in sub par Conference USA, didn't help them at all being 11-1, playing patsy's, but losing to Miami.

Pittsburgh was in a BCS Bowl League and Utah had a great year and were undefeated which qualified them for the Bowl game against Pittsburgh.

Btw, there are only eight football teams in the Big East.
Oh my mistake, I thought a BCS eligible league had to have 12 teams in it in order to be considered for a BCS type Game. My error, so now that U of L is doormat material from hence forth, will they jump ship again and join another League where they might be able to compete with the teams in the league? lol lol Had to throw that one in on account of your two down years of course..... Don't go throwing in anything about Indiana's record this year, at least Indiana went to a Bowl game last year........

Holy crap! The Cats a good defensive team? Maybe. Is that how they raked up a 6-6 or is it 6-7 in their overall record and 2-6 in conference? Apparently the Cats are missing a little something or their records would be different. It's almost an insult for you to use BAMA and the Cats in the same sentence, but it does make the Cats sound like a little better team.

I still believe Big Al will be eating some good 'gator tail for supper tomorrow night. It's delicious when sliced thin and deep fried.

You confused me Clyde, we were not in a BCS league and Pittsburgh was, so was Louisivlle treated unfairly? Boise St. was also in a non BCS league and U of L played them in the Liberty Bowl and won. I find it funny that you call C-USA sub-par and playing patsys, yet you refuse to acknowledge that Boise St. and Utah also play "patsys."

IU bought a bowl game last year with that schedule, did they even beat a team with a winning record? They may have been the worst team to get a bowl bid in the history of college football. When they go to nine in a row and one of them is a BCS bowl, get back to me.

    Re: Looking Ahead Bama-V-Gators

Come on, do you really think Cincy should be in one of the BCS Bowl games with their 10-2 record. Their not even in the class as Alabama, Florida, USC, or Okla....It's the Whole BCS debacle that let's weak teams become eligible to play in a BCS type game. Just like U of L did two tears ago when the Big East was so down and U of L went through the league like a cupcake League.

As far as IU going to the Bowl game, IU was predicted to finish next to last, last year in the league, but played their butts off and won 7 games and earned the right to play in their bowl game. I'd really like to see U of L play in the SEC or Big Ten and see exactly how they would fare each year....Two of the toughest Leagues going...

Now for Boise State and Utah, well they do play in weaker Leagues as well as did U of L when they were supposedly screwed over by the BCS Commish's.... But to go undefeated in College Football is a feat well deserved of any school and that undefeated record should get a little more reginition towards a National Title than say a team with 2 loss's playing in a BCS Bowl game....The Automatic right to play in a BCS Bowl game should not be determined solely on the winner of a so called BCS League. If that's the case then only the Teams who play in only the BCS Elgibil Leagues will always be the only ones to ever become the winner of the Championship Game....Then why should all the other teams who are not in these leagues even play College Football for, oh I forgot...They play so that the BCS League Teams can play weaker schools in order to pad their records with palying weaker schools... But yes, some weaker schools like Appl. State provide the occassional upset of a Major College team......

I found this on the internet last night. You may have already read it but it is noteworthy.

"Today the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) released their list of 2008 All-Americans, and the list included four Crimson Tide players. Those players are left tackle Andre Smith, center Antoine Caldwell, nose guard Terrence Cody, and safety Rashad Johnson.

The Tide's four All-Americans mark the most of any team in the country, and to my knowledge it's the first time we've had multiple All-Americans since Shaun Alexander and Chris Samuels in 1999." (by Outside The Sidelines)

This should prove to be the best game of the season. Am sending you and two others a picture of the Saban's Christmas card for this year. Please notice the heads mounted above the fireplace. lol

Florida scores first, Alabama answers...7-7 with minutes left in the First Quarter. This might just be a game!
