dad had that done last years. Not the most fun that he has ever had, but was pretty quick. Routine stuff these days. Often in and out the same day. You'll be back on the water chasing linesiders, probably before the water levels stablize.

Well I go in tomorrow for an Angiogram. The doc says I have a blockage and need a stent put in. Not looking forward to it at all. The very thought of having something run up through my body and into my heart just gives me the willies. I hope I get to feeling better though. That ramp at Jamestown just about kills me. UHH!

Best of luck Scott, as Andrew said they have it down to a science these days. You'll be running up that ramp at Jamestown before you know it. Hey put in at Pumkin Creek alot shorter walk although that 4 mile ride back that snakey road gets me a bit queasy at times.
Yeah man once you get this done you will feel like a new man. Those stents are common place procedures anymore. Good Luck!Well I go in tomorrow for an Angiogram. Thanks fella's. I should have known something was wrong 5 or 6 yrs ago. The lake was way down and the ramp at Jamestown was down to one lane. My buddy let me off the boat and I started up the ramp and had to stop several times and grab my knees. I was parked on the side road so I really didn't have that far to go. I'm not that old (49 the 21st) so I was shocked to hear the doc say I had a blockage. If you guys are having problems of any kind, get checked out. It might not just be old age like I thought I was experiencing. Mhall, I don't know where the punpkin creek ramp is, but if it will add a few years to my life, I might consider it.I know angiograms are pretty common these days, but it doesn't make me feel any better. I've also heard that once it's done I will feel like a young man again. I hope so. Andrew, we never did get together to chase those linesides, If the heart holds up, we should get together this fall.
Moron - Hey man...I don't really know you but I wish you well...like most of the guys here said, it's probably a fairly common procedure these days and you'll probably make it through with flying colors plus they might even put a star on your forehead!! LOL...Tell you what, after you have this thing done how about giving us a report on how you did with it (the procedure itself) and how you're doing and how much better you feel, etc...most guys (at least me anyway) absolutely dread going through healthcare systems for anything, so perhaps your words of wisdom after the fact might offer encouragement to others who may have to go through the same thing or something similar.
Will do Chub. At least I'm getting it done before BHO becomes my doctor.
I'm getting ready to go to the hospital now. If everything goes well, I will be home around 7 or 8 tonight.
Scott..
The Pumpkin Creek ramp is the state dock ramp and is free to launch. Nice ramp great parking lot. Go on 127 like you are heading to the dam or Halcomb's Landing and take a left into the State Park entrance it's 4 miles back on your left just watch for the signs and watch out for the deer, turkey, possums, coons, squirrels, and every other critter you can think of, lol. It's beautiful drive just twisty turny is all. They have a look out where you can pull over and look out across the lake, beautiful year round but breath taking in the fall. I've got some pictures I took that would rival any post card ever made.
Oh by the way this ramp will put you out in Pumpkin Creek a short jog behind State dock and the mouth confluence of Jamestown and State.
Good luck with the procedure, hey watch out fishing with Andrew it's contangoeus.
Hey all, I'm back. Good news. No blockage. I had a bad episode with being dehydrated and my blood pressure dropped to 83/46. They pumped fuids in me and I started feeling better pretty quick. Now the doc has to figure out the meds that will help with high blood pressure. I also have a left branch bundle block. My heart fires wrong. The doc seems to think that the combo of high blood pressure and the left branch bundle block is whats causing the heart to race. The doc also says no more coffee. Now thats a bummer. Thanks for the concern, thoughts and prayers. They were very much appreciated.
If by "no more coffee" they mean caffeine, then be very careful in the soft drinks you imbibe, especially Mt Dew!!!!!!
No more soft drinks either. I kind of gave them up years ago anyway. Caffeine isn't very good on me. I used to love Mt. Dew. I havne't had one of those in years now. I'm going to miss coffee though. My mom tried to get me to drink a decaff this morning but I held strong.
Mhall, Andrew and I go way back. We've never met, but have talked lure making for many years. We talked about doing the striper thing. He would take me trolling and I would take him casting at night. Andrew, you've done pretty well on that night casting since then. Way to go. I still don't do any trolling.
