    Smile Trolline reel

    Looking to buy a couple of trolling reels for use on Lake Cumberland Stripers. Thinking I need a bait caster with a clicker and decient 30 lb line capacity. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    Garcia 6500's are the most used and 20# test line is better on Cumberland, even lighter if you are good.

    Trolling as in downriggers ? I have used the big Diawa LC 57 line counters for
    a lot of years. They hold a lot of line and hold up well.

    I use a 6600 C4 Ambassaduer reel

    I use 30# line on it @ the river, it does great!

    I use abu 6500's with 20# mono. Use these for downrigging with jigs and pulling boards. If you are going with urigs, you'll want something larger.

    I use Okuma mx20's for my trolling reels when I'm pulling planer boards. Can't beat the linecounter reels IMO. MX30's for u-rigs. Casting reels are 6600ssc3 Abu Garcia's, and 6500c3's. The Okuma mx30's would work good with downriggers.
