    Re: I Love Tackle Warehouse

I always try and stop by the little shops around KYL and Barkley when I visit but otherwise nothing within 50 miles of me but the Cincy BPS.

Have you noticed how bad the BPS selection of nice rods is??? Maybe 15 loomis in the store, maybe 5 LTB, maybe 3 Steez, maybe 2 quantums. Basically, all they carry is house brand rods. In fact, they don't seem to want to carry the latest rods (Kistler, Powell, Dobyn's)

In the last 4 years, I've bought just about all my gear from tacklewarehouse, cabelas and ebay. Tacklewarehouse does rock!

This site has been around for a LONG time. Glad you guys are just now finding it -- it will keep a little extra change in your pockets. Have been doing business with them for a long time, and will continue to do so. Can't figure how much I have saved on baits and shipping -- probably enough to make a year's worth of mortgage payments.....

They also work in conjunction with TackleTour, a research subsidiary. If you are ever pondering new equipment purchases and need facts, instead of just pure opinions like the ones on fishin.com, give them a try. Basically any piece of equipment (rods, reels, lures, etc.) has been tested and data is given by researchers who field-test the equipment. Great site.

To my knowledge, tackletour.com and tacklewarehouse are not related other then the shop helps to pay for the site via advertising dollars as do many companies.

The guys at TT love Tackewarehouse too!!!!!

    Re: I Love Tackle Warehouse

i have ben using tacklewarehouse for about three or four years now. i love this place. and if the small shops would carry stuff that people use instead of stuff that people dont use they would get more buisness but some of them even have higher prices then bps. i am in a bind now and need to save all i can.

Taken out of context. They work in conjunction (together). Not the same company or site. They both promote one another.

agree. Most of the guys who chat at tacketour are equipment junkies (like myself) and places like Hi's tacklebox, Tacklewarehouse, Brooklyn Bills and others are the only places we can quickly get the latest and greatest stuff. Many guys order direct from Japan and believe the rods and reels they sell in Japan are of superior quality to what we get in the US. The only catch is that you get no warrenty when importing.

If you watch the hot deals portion of the forum at Tacketour, you will see a post when Tacklewarehouse starts a 10, 15, or 20% off sale.

Have you tried Afield Sporting Goods on Harrison Ave. in Cincy? They are right under I-275. Harold has tons of Tackle and has been in business for many years. Phone # (513) 353-3536.

    Re: I Love Tackle Warehouse

I love tackle warehouse!!! also check out their reel testing area, if you are thinking of buying a new reel but want to check it out first they have a program for that, they will send you a reel to try for a week if you don't like it - return it, comes spooled with line ready to go. I have turned many of my fishing buddies onto this site and they love it also, we signed up for newsletters and such and get coupons or discounts ever so often.
