Well boys let the games begain! I went to the river yesterday and had a blast. I endedup catchin 5 hybreds, all over 6 lbs and my buddy Brandon caught a Blue I figure was well over 50lb..45in long and 32in girth. I had just lost a big one and 30 sec later Brandon nailed his. We was useing 12 in skipjacks....my big fish hole gives up another one,,you know what hole tha tis chuck,,same has where my 75plus came from.. I`m going to be boatless for awhile so if you want sometime Chuch,,,can I go fishin with you buddy,,,PRETTY PLEASE?...lol

yep the river is turning on! i fished last week in some of my fishing holes
caught alot but had a hard time finding bait! heading back out tomm with a work buddy its his 1st time out fishing the ohio river man i hope he hooks in to a rivermonster lol..

Hey Doug, can you get a deep v out where you are fishing for those hybrids, and cats, I have my dads 17' center console carolina skiff, and I need to get it out and run it a while, and I would like to catch some of those hybrids and cats, so let me know if I can and maybe we can hook up one day and go fishing!

Would it be worth it or even safe to put in the river tonight, they're running 30ft of dam, 26 on upper and 4 on lower? Was goin to fish hydro.

I would put in at the ampitheater. And yes it would be worth it 16.8 at the lower gauge is no problem.I wouldn't travel to the upper dam but you should be able to do fairly well behind the hydro's and other places below the lower dam. The only thing to be concerned with other than safty is the rapid rise, sometimes it hurts but you'll never no staying at home. Take it slow, be alert, and wear a life jacket. It's going to be chilly so dress accordingly. Good luck. Chuck

Well Don is a great guy,,alittle crazy I think, for takeing that little boat in some of the places he gets into,,but he was a life saver cause we was SCREWED! I talk to Don every time I see him,, Thanks again Don,,I owe you 1

It's on at Newburgh and jt meyers as well. We went out last night for a couple hours and caught 9 stripes on bucktails and rattletraps.
