Never tried that method but I'm not surprised it works. I'm a big fan of scents and dyes. If flipping grass I'll soak the dog doo out of my bait to make it slick. Black is my favorite dye and bang is my favorite spray.

I have used the spray attractants for longer than I care to remember, and I think they help. and here's something that I do, and I think it works well. I jig fish more than anything. I like using 1/2 oz. jigs with uncle josh pork chunks. I buy the { hot pickle wiener } and pour the liquid out of the uncle josh bottles, and refill them with the juice from the hot wieners. I think the smallmouth hold on to the jig better like this. it could just be in my head, but i've done it for over 30 years. and have a dozzen bottles filled with it right now.![]()

I am a big believer in scents...For years I used Bang...In the past few months I have gotten hooked on Juiced Up Baits enhancer....It is a really cool product...It smells just like a livewell smells after you have had a real good day on the lake...It is a very natural scent...It really sticks to the baits as well....I use it on all my plastics, but really like it on a jig.
Juiced Up has various scents for various species-bass, panfish, catfish, walleye and carp...Check their website out www.juicedupbaits.com... It is 7.00 a bottle.
I have really never used spray attractants before , but fished with people who have I am thinking about trying them which scent is better for which bait such as texas rigged sinco use garlic scent or craw scent and jigs and so on. Was just curious if there was a method used .
Man I don't think it matters. Too me it's all marketing like most fishing products. Show me a fisherman who has fool proof evidence that it matters and I'll show you hundreds that say it doesn't....well kindaI have really never used spray attractants before , but fished with people who have I am thinking about trying them which scent is better for which bait such as texas rigged sinco use garlic scent or craw scent and jigs and so on. My point is I always questioned "Garlic, Craw, Shad and whatever flavor" because fish adjust and change all the time. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. JMO
Lol your probably right. I have been fishing Herrington alot the last 3 yrs and when you fish there if there is anything that might help catch more fish at least better quality fish you try it.
smljaw, I use the spike it marker to dye the ends of my trailers. It is also garlic scented. I think it is more of a confidence thing than anything else.
