COME ON......lets get tough against this garbage.

I think we need to get "tough" on a bunch of criminal acts; I mean real tough folks. So it wouldn't pay for me to be a judge...like one for example (of many). If you comment a heinous crime...and there are more than one eye witness...or you just was out right caught by the law...and you still raise your right hand and place the other on the Bible, and you lie...you plead not quilty...and yet you are convicted...Death should come your way within one week!! Not 9 years from now...or 12 years!!! There is much injustice in this county, it aint funny. It's all who you know...and how much money you have!!!!
In Saudi Arabia (it don't matter who you are)...if you are found guilty of murder (a very rare event .. not many murders in Saudi Arabia)...where there are more than one eye witness...when the Judge's gavel hits the wood...and the words in court read "guilty as served". They grab you right then and there...take you out and down the stairs screaming and crying..to the court yard you go; where the family of the victoms wait, and others... that just want to watch (many American Servicemen stationed over there have seen this, if they want to)..they cut your head off right there on a stump. Doesn't matter who you are, how rich you are...what color you are...what country you come from, or what religion you worship...this is a fact....has been for many many years there!
Hell don't get me started, I'd start by killing off 75% of the prison population presently locked up. Then I'd kill every heinous crime offender form there on. The guy that stole some food to feed his family I would be easy on. Other more serious stuff, Whack'em, Pack'em and Stack'em. I have no beef with it at all.
Rape = Dead
Murder = Dead
Armed Robbery = Dead
Well you get the picture, there would be alot of Dead scumbags and I would sleep quite well at night.

I love your way of thinking brother!![]()
I agree but don't think people should be killed. A few smacks with a twig and years locked in a cell with Bubba should be just fine. If they do it again then maybe kill them. Would Jesus kill them? lol
I have never had a credit card and have never applied for one but somehow I still get them in the mail. How the bleep do they even find me?
Too many stories of good people just being plain screwed by these credit card companies that make it easy for criminals,,,to be criminals.
Seems with the internet and hackers that this will be a endless fight.

I agree with Geo, its time to get tougher.
I'd like to see the punishment always fit the crime, like many middle East countries do. Examples:
- You steal my goat and get caught, you must either give me a goat, or the amount of money that represents the cost of the goat, and its produce and meat value over its expected life.
- You kill, you die.
- You rape, you get bubba.
- You steal $5000 from me by stealing my identy or credit card. You go to jail working to earn minimun wage until you pay me back in full with interest. Then you get out only once you have paid all the expenses of your inprisonment.
Somethings now are just way backwards: Example, in KY for vehicular manslaughter, the average sentences are $2800 Fine, 90 days to 1 year Avg. Jail time, and 1 year Avg. Probation with 6 months license suspension, and 750 hours of community service .
Now rent a movie/DVD, and see the notice that if you make a copy/pirate it, you get a Criminal penalty for first-time offenders as high as five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
So in this instance, the penalties seem to indicate we put a higher value on stealing copyrighted material than we do human life. That is just plain "Eskewed UP".
Another criminal act. My dead wifes SSN is still being used! I tracked it as far as I could, and wrote the SS commision, the FBI and nada. Steal 100 bucks from a bank, get at least 10 nyears in jail. Steal millions from the government, nothing!
The article makes some great points, and I agree on the need to get tougher, but I still hate it when I see facts mis-represented like the headline does. The court never said that the act was legal, they just said he couldn't be convicted under this one particular law. He was still convicted, and is still going to be deported. And as much as I love that quote from the dissenting judge, I think the court's hair-splitting does have some merit, because the statute wasn't written well. Apparently, the law says that if you're asked for a SSN, say on a job application, and you give one that's not yours, you have to KNOW that the SSN you gave belongs to someone else, in order for it to constitute ID theft. So if you just make one up off the top of your head, that's not ID theft under the law. So to fix the problem, all we need to do is re-write the law so it says that it's ID theft if you knowingly provide a SSN other than the one that was lawfully assigned to you. Problem solved, without the need to summarily execute some poor schmuck with bad handwriting whose 5's look like 6's![]()
