Looks like Brady and the Pats were to much for the boys. Thats cool Tebow and the team have done well and will only get better. Kinda glad they lost because even I was getting tired of the tebow coverage on ESPN.

Not a big fan of SNL anyway (how are they even still on TV?), but even less after watching them belittle religion like that.

Thanks Know1......that is EXACTLY how I took it.

I'm not a crazed bible thumper, but I thought their joking was out of line.

    Later,

I saw the clip today on ESPN. IMHO, it was sacrilegious and I found it offensive.

    Fair enough.

I forgot how people take offense when somebody makes a joke about Christianity.

I guess I'm in the minority (and I'm okay with that), but I like to think that even the Good Lord has a sense of humor. He created me and I've got one. Even though their skit was poking fun at Tim Tebow and Christianity, I thought it was funny. I don't think that makes me less of a Christian or more likely to burst into flames anytime soon though.

I didn't really take offense, but I didn't see anything funny with it.

You know that SNL would never do a skit where they try to make athiests look stupid like they are with Christians on that one.

Saturday Night Live makes fun of whatever is the current topic. They used to do a skit making fun of Madalyn Murray O'Hair. They do not pick and choose, everything is fair game. The problem with people today is they only see what they want to see.

To me SNL peaked years ago and I don't watch it anymore. So much more to watch and now you tube gives me the funny stuff in a short amount of time which is condusive to my attention span.

How long ago was this skit - 20 years or more? Things have changed since the '80s.

Look, you can believe what you want to, but they make fun of everyone and everything. Now as someone who tries to watch it every week (usually by dvr because I am not always awake) I ACTUALLY SEE AND PAY ATTENTION to what is on there. What ever the current topic is, they will make skits about it. Trust me, if something happens any time soon in the world of atheism, they will make fun of it, just like they have every single other hot button issue. An no, it wasn't 20 years ago either. I guess you don't watch the show do you?
