    gauging interest for possible trade

Here's the story. I've recently moved and my new house has a smaller garage than my old house. My boat doesn't fit length wise, and barely fits width wise. By the time I get it backed in and cocked sideways to fit, it's taking up way too much of the garage. With that in mind, I'm exploring the option of trading the boat for something a little smaller. Here's the particulars on my boat:

1998 Astro 2000 single console. White base with red and black trim. Grey carpet. Boat and carpet are in extremely good shape. Seats have some tears at the seams, but all in all a very sharp looking rig.

Minn Kota 70 maxxum trolling motor. Mariner 200 EFI with fresh powerhead. Only has 10-15 hours on rebuild. Very strong running engine. 24p Tempest prop. On board charger. Lowrance 522c GPS at helm, Lowrance X97 at bow. Keel guard.

Everything on this boat works and looks good with the exception of the seats.

I might be interested in trading for a 18-19 footer that will fit straight into my garage. I'd want something similar year, condition, price range, etc. I will NOT be looking to spend any extra money. Only trades I'd be interested in are even or I get some money on top of the trade if your boat isn't equal in value to mine.

I like my boat, and in a perfect world wouldn't be interested in this, but I want some of my garage space back.

If you have something and might be interested in this, please shoot me an email and we can discuss it.

What do you think the value is.......that would help with perspective traders.

I think the value is in the $7500 - $8000 range with all of the accessories, overall condition of the boat and the new powerhead.

Could you get a trailer with a break away tongue?

I'd considered that, but my main goal is to not spend any additional money. Buying the new house took care of all of my extra money!!

Installing a break away tongue on the current trailer won't give me the shortening of the overall length of the set up that I need to fit it straight in. The Y of the frame hits right at the door opening.
