I also walked away from the game at halftime. I went to my "office" to waste some time on my computer and when I returned to the TV the score was 24-21. Yikes. What just happened? I set the TV back to the start of the second half and once again started watching the game.

The wheels sure did fall off the Charger's bus rapidly.

    Great performance from Manning.

Peyton is really good, but I wouldn't swear he's the best QB in his family.....He ran his offense to a T in Indy, and is a great quarterback no doubt, but what about Eli...Eli doesn't get the hype and he's not very flashy, but he's flat out getting the job on one of the biggest stages in the US

I'm not bashing Eli but he is not in the same league as Peyton. Heck, I don't think anyone is!

I think Eli is the most underrated QB in the league...i think you put Eli, Peyton, Brady, Brees, and Rodgers in a hat and draw one out and take them to start your team with....These guys aren't throwing to Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, or Dez Bryant either....They make their receivers good

IMO whens its all over Eli is going to be remembered as good or better than Peyton. The Super Bowl rings are an indicator of how good the team was on that day not necessarily the QB.....but he has more. If Eli stays the course and puts up above average stats plus keeps winning rings he will go down as one of the best. If he stays where he is with all the money and prestige of New York he has an even better shot of surpassing his big bro.

In my opinion, while they are both great Eli is clearly better and will end up accomplishing much more.

First and foremost, I believe the goal is winning Super Bowls, and the fact that Eli has already won two, that alone gives him a slight edge.

    Then look a little deeper.

    1) Peyton has had the benefit of playing in a dome all those years with the Colts, where Eli played in Giants stadium in the north east winters. Giants stadium was notorious for being hard to throw in with it's windy conditions.

    2) For the majority of Peytons years with the Colts they played in a weak division. Where the Giants played in a much tougher division.

    3) Peyton was treated like a king in Indianapolis, while Eli played in NY under a microscope with much more scrutiny and many people criticizing him and comparing him to Peyton. He was placed under much more pressure to overcome.

    4) As great as Peyton has been at comebacks, Eli has been even better, and I believe set a NFL record for the most 4th QTR TD passes ever in a single season. Not to mention one of the best comebacks in Super Bowl history against an undefeated NE team. I think he also set some type of consecutive road win record also, but I am not certain.

They are undeniably both HOF bound, but I think the only thing keeping most people from viewing Eli as the best is the fact that Peyton is much older and came first. Eli came into the league six years behind Peyton. When they are both retired and we can look at their total accomplishments, I believe Eli will have done more.
