    If you have a fuel supplier in your area, you might check with them as many suppliers carry ethanol free and will sell to the public.

    Shelbyville gas

    The place in shelbyville is the bulk plant on north seventh st. and he will not sell to the public.

    Depending on which engine he has, this might not be a good idea.

    on yammies (HPDI and SHO), as well as etecs, it is a very good idea to have one. On a Merc optimax, not so much. Can cause fuel restriction and lean conditions.

    I did say he "could" put a fuel/water separator on ... not that he "should" !!

    Seems that some Merc engines already have a "filter" & don't recommend adding any more "in-line" filters, for the very reasons that Steve has stated. Good catch, Steve !!

    Leave it up to Mercury to make it difficult haha. But their filter is more than enough, unless you know water has gotten into the tank.

    not just optimax. even the efi mercs have a water seperator right on the engine
