I remember days in Nov 2013 when it was 80 deg. Yes it's cold in the Northern Hemisphere but overall the entire Earth had the warmest winter for a long time. The earth is round not flat and just because you can't see the Southern Hemisphere doesn't' mean that it's not there.
March Weather is always wild and woolly. In like a lamp and out like a lion or vise versa.
Heck I can remember it snowing the second week of April a few years ago. Which is why they say not to plant outside summer stuff until after May 15th.
Fish bite even in cold water. They still have to eat. But I agree that it will be better when the water warms up to above 50 deg F. I heard reports that some of the strip pits around Southern IN were warming up to 47 deg F on the surface waters near the banks. One guy reported catching some nice 1.5 lb. crappie near the bank.
BTW it was around 50 deg last Saturday afternoon but today it's suppose to snow. That's March in the Midwest.
It won't be long before it's so hot that you have to use an umbrella and sun screen to stay out side for any length of time. And the humidity will be up in the 90's.
The cold weather doesn't really bother me anymore like it did a few years ago. The only reason I really have to get out of the house is to go to the doctors or buy groceries. I don't have to drive to work in the snow anymore as I'm retired. Oh the good life! The Golden years. But dang just my luck I have to go to the dam doctor's office today and it's suppose to snow. **** the luck! I'm ready for spring time too. When it warms up I call up Al and invite him to go fishing with me. LOL.
