Discussion Board Rules
First and foremost, simple to
understand guideline.
This discussion board is a place (albeit in cyberspace) just as,
say, a restaurant is a place. If your behavior on the board would
likely result in your being asked to leave a restaurant,
commercial establishment or public place, it may also result in
your post being deleted here. On a random basis, we may also post
the IP number , exact time of the post and the internet
provider's contact information of the person making the
inappropriate post. If your Mother would not like your post it
probably does not belong here. Need we say more.
| 1. No commercial ads can be placed on the discussion
board without permission from the owner of Fishin.com.
This does not include fishermen trying to sell boats or
equipment. We have not in the past allowed ads on the
board other than for Fishing Tournaments and Charity so
if you do not belong to one of those 2 categories then
you must submit your post in writing to Jim@fghp.com Any commercial postings not cleared by Fishin.com will be charged $100.00 and will be removed without notice.Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on this BB. 2. No Profanity or Foul language. No partial profanity followed by #*@#. We get a lot of young people on the boards and we will not tolerate poor behavior.By posting on this board you are waiving your right to privacy, in that Fishin.com can and will trace any offensive post and if necessary inform your IP and authorities in the case of threats. We will also post the name and address of any one posting profanity on the board if we feel that all other avenues to prevent this have been tried. 3. No Slander or Accusations that can not be substantiated either by the posting party or the accuser. You must if you want to complain about a business or an individual on this board provide your Name, Address and Phone # so that you may be contacted. Yes there is freedom of speech, but the constitution also protects people from false accusations and slander. If you can't prove it and stand behind it then don't post it. 4. The use of the name section for anything but a name will not be allowed. Handles are ok, but you will not be allowed to make comments under the name section. 5. No complaints about how the boards are run or the site will be allowed. We will gladly accept any e-mail complaints you would like to send to us, but no complaints on the board any more.
