Florida Keys Fishing Report - Captain Chris Johnson, SeaSquared Charters - July 10, 2010
The Kiwors of Littletree Colorado enjoyed some family fun fishing with SeaSquared Charters during their stay at Tranquility Bay Resort in Marathon Florida Keys.
Don and Lori Kiwor and their girls, Megan (20) and Staci (14) got a taste of some saltwater action on the reef with quite the variety of Florida Keys fish to entertain them. They caught 3 black grouper up to 10 pounds, some yellowtail snapper, 3 mangrove snapper to 5 pounds and a yellowjack. They also had 4 throw-back black grouper and 2 Goliath grouper.
They planned to have their catch cooked at Porky's and Castaway. We told them the yellowjack would make excellent sushi at Castaway, and Megan seemed especially happy about that!
Their comments in our guest book were brief and to-the-point: "Great trip!" Thanks guys! Hope to see you again soon!
Our Florida Keys waters are clean and oil-free, and the fishing is as hot as the weather. If you have any questions about the possible impact of the BP disaster on the Florida Keys, please call us directly rather than succumb to the media hysteria.
