Shabbona Lake Fishing Report Updated July 21, 2010

Evergreen Lake: 7/21

Water temps were in the mid '80's and water clarity was good.

Crappie fishing was good with large numbers of crappies being caught using minnows. Crappies were all caught deep (16-23 feet) over submerged brush and blow downs.

Shabbona Lake: 7/19

Walleye fishing is good with large numbers of 14 - 17 inch long walleyes being caught over the rock piles and on the flats of the east bay by anglers dragging leeches. This is the best multi species bite of the year with catfish, largemouth bass, perch and bluegills also being caught in the same place also using leeches.
