    Guntersville Guide

Looking to bring my Father down some time in march or april, any suggestions as to what is the best time to catch em? Also, any info on guides and lodging?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Guntersville Guide

February and March has some great fishing, but a cold front can wreck the fishing. April usually has more predictable fishing patterns. Goose Pond Colony has some nice cabins on the water. I would cncentrate on the mid lake portion of the lake that time of year. Doug Campbell operates Waterfront grocery and Tackle and is an excellent guide. Tim Chandler is also an excellent guide. Troy Jens is another excellent guide, but I'm not sure if he'll still be fishing as much as he has for the past several years. A google search should produce contact info for threm. I wouldn't want to fish a tournament against either of them because they would probably take my money.

Thanks for the reply. Called Doug, and it looks as though we are on for early April. Hopefully we can catch one or two!

Don't forget we have reports on the lakes in Alabama here on Fishin.com .. Be sure to check the reports and to support the guides who voluntarily give these reports without consideration of remuneration..
For those in Loretto, Ky.. that is they report for free.
