    Does anyone have the results of Saturdays Open Tournament on Geist? All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't enter.....

    My original post needs some explanation: I was skunked Saturday at Geist...3rd time this year and it still hurts.

    WMAMOS;
    We had 21 teams, all but 4 weighed fish, 13 plus lbs was the winning weight, Big Bass was 4 plus lbs.

    Weather was not the best. We will be hosting another tournament next spring.

    Thanks for the information despite the fact that it is quite humbling. Are you aware of any pattern in particular that was working? Did it seem to be a morning or afternoon bite or both?

    Thanks,

    WMAMOS,

    I started doing real well on spinner baits this weekend. The wind and cloud cover was perfect for spinners. They are hitting them real hard too, no doubt when you got a bite.

    Well that's a good question, Most were not talking, go figure!, the 2nd place team was seen most of the day east of Olio Rd bridge.

    I did hear the spinner bait bite was good. Most of the fish were caught shallow.

    I fished there weekend before last. Caught 5 keepers on Saturday and only 1 on Sunday, All were caught swallow on a Rat-l-Trap.

    A guess the fish on Sunday missed all the Gun Fire!!!! On Saturday there must have been 200 plus Ducks shot at. By the way, not one pellet hit us. Those big houses must have taken them for us Ha Ha
