As of Monday morning around 10:45 am. I didn't go out there Tue. But I'd expect it to continue dropping a bit more from the Monday report.
Water levels have dropped. At Bluegrass the first two sections of concrete at the top of th ramp are dry now. Water was just above the concrete handicapped dock. The fishing platform was still under water with just the top 1/3 rd of the wood poles sticking out of the flood water. You can see where the dirt and rip rap have been washed away from the South Edge of the road on Boonville New Harmony Road between the South end of Bluegrass Pit and the North edge of Loon pit. The road was almost washed away as the road is crumbling along a part of it's southern edge along Loon Pit's North Shoreline.
Otter pits parking lot was dry except for the part down by the canal. The launch ramp was dry at the top portion. The handicapped platform is still under water.
The North end of Loon Pit was open and I saw about four boat trailers parked in the Loon Pit North Parking lot along the roadway going into the parking lot. Handicapped ramp was still submerged but the top of the ramp was dry.
I think that you would have to back down the ramp farther to get the boat off as the top of these ramps is not as steep as the bottom part.
Didn't asks anyone about the fishing Monday. The only people I talked to Monday were just getting ready to go out and fish.
PS Euler Road, Kansas Rd, Boonville New Harmony Rd, and Stevenson Station Rd to the south along pigeon creek was back open. Not sure about the part of Boonville New Harmony Rd between Bluegrass and Boonville by the creek. I didn't check out that part of the roadway. It still may be flooded so you may have to watch out for that section of the road. The county line road along the East side of Loon Pit between Boonville New Harmony Rd and Kansas Rd was open but still may have debris along it.
PS: Oil Prices drop 8% and gasoline prices in Southern IN jumped up to $4:19/gallon. Someone needs to be tarred and feathered IMHO. And the news paper headlines on Sunday talked about gasoline prices dropping $0.50/gallon this summer. This is just HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
