It looks like the lake for the GET TOGETHER is Barren by popular vote. The "what does everybody do for living" post is the coolest thread I've seen in a very long time! It'll be great meeting each other and going fishing.

Some of us will be throwing a few bucks into a pot to see who can catch the biggest bass, but it's not a big deal, mostly bragging rights. (Believe me, ole Francis can do some braggin) You need not throw any money in the pot or bass fish at all to get out and enjoy some good company. Heck go for some hybrid or pan fish or cats or whites or carp or whatever suits you. Let's just wet a hook, maybe choke down a bite of food, and talk fishing. Don't let me forget to tell y'all a Jim Dicken story.

We need to put a name to this annual event and set this year's date. Maybe we could get some suggestions?

As far as what to call it, I've already had the Trophies ingraved with Fishin.com Get Together 2006.

Are we using the Peninsula ramp and having the cookout at the tailwater area ?

What time of day would be good to hit the water ?

We'd love to be there, but April 22nd is a bad day. Plapp's (us) have our Ohio River Rumble in Big Bone on Sunday, The KBF has a tourney on Sun (KY Lake) and the Federation Nation is at KY Lake that Saturday.

I've been waiting for the long post to subside and figure our where and when, but we would bring our tournament trailer if it's available and some door prizes.

Hey Tony or D/Hoss:
Would you believe the 22 April is the only Saturday I can't
make it all year long??! I'll be on my way back from a weeks
trip down at Clark's Hill in Gawjah. But if it turns out
the Get Together is on that weekend, I'll give my fishin buddy
the Golden Throne Trophy to be presented to the lucky winner.

If he can't make it, then surely there's someone in the Etown
Hodgenville area who I can give it to that will be going.

that sounds good but make it a day there are no other tournys so its not as crowded. as far as it being a good day for everybody. good luck but if i was you i would work around the people who has bin there befor and let the new people work around you.just my thoughts.

Fellows, it would be cool if everyone could make it but we all know that's impossible. However maybe in the fall would be better for everyone and a possible larger turn out would occur. Not trying to start something here only throwing this out as a suggestion. Oh and as far as dodging tourney's on a Saturday at Barren, that ain't gonna happen, forgetabouta.
