hows the bass fishing at barren lately ?

was thinking about going this weekend has it turned over yet?just curious on the bite

I went last wed and then again on Monday and didn't catch a thing. Only one bite and I tried everything - maybe I just don't know where the fish are. However, I talked to three other boats with the same report. However, the weather has been so beautiful that I had rather be on the lake and not catch any fish than be somewhere else. Also, on Monday the fog was so thick that we couldn't see until about 9am.

fishing's been terrible for me, at least keeper wise. 4 days and ZERO keepers, and I hate to admit it, but it's my home lake. Maybe I'll come out of my slump tomorrow. Water looks good, don't think it's turned over yet. Last week it was looking a little darkish, like it may start turning over, but looked normal a couple of days later. Water temp low 70's.

Hope you have better luck than me.

Well I finally figured something out on Day 5. Had 3 nice fish all around 3 lbs bite, in 4 hours this morning. Caught a few slots as well. If it will hold up for my tourney this weekend, I'll be extremely happy :) Course with lower temps, and rain on the way, it will probably change.

Fished mid-day Tues and late Wed afternoon. Water at Walnut Creek and up has that brown color but no smell and no fish for me! Fished mid-lake Wed and right at dark had 4 that would go 12 or a little better. Look for the shad. Water was 68-70. Good luck I was going to fish Sat. but now I'm working. 300ZX.

Was there last week.Caught 4 keepers anchored by a 4.15 lb one. Caught quite a few in the slot range also. Most on crankbaits, a few on soft plastics and the big one on a white spinnerbait. Hope this helps,
