    RE: Dale Hollow Turnover

I was down there Sunday, and from Hendricks boat ramp to the State dock it was as very darkish brown almost black, on up towards the Wolf river arm it cleared up and had a green cast to it. It looked a lot better than the water on down towards the lake. I would say it may be turning over with these recent colder nights we had. If you go it may help to find some cleaner, normal looking water, I didn't have much luck where it was very stained. Good luck.

Did you have any luck where it was clearer? I am heading down Thanksgiving.

    RE: Dale Hollow Turnover

Fished for smallies in the stained area hard not knowing if I would find any better looking water, and when it did clear up started crappie fishing. There was no wind whatsoever early but after dinner just a slight breeze. When I was leaving in some better looking water, I hooked a nice smallie on a point and he jumped up to let me know how big he was and threw the hook. I should have fished more for them in this area, but it was time to go. No smallies boated, caught a few crappie. If the water is stained head up in some of the creeks or rivers until it clears a little. It may be anytime that some of the areas I was fishing turn, I don't think they have turned over yet.

    RE: Dale Hollow Turnover

I fished for eight hours today and boated 4 fish form 10"-17" I put in at the state dock and was headed to Sulphur Creek. I thought I would hit a few points around the KY/TN line. IT did not take me long to head back north because the water around the state line is a blackish color. Any thing above the State Park is OK. Water temp was 57-58 all day long.
