    12 hours and counting.....

Leaving in 12 hours heading to Dale for a week to attempt to land the 12 pounder. As my luck usually happens, I plan a trip for months and months and get horrible conditions. I was hoping the water temp would be at least down to 55 for this week and maybe the FNF would land some good fish. As it stands, 57 degrees, lake turning over, FNF bite not working very well (from what I am told) and mid 60's for the first half of the week. Here I am wishing for Alberta Clippers and I get Jet Ski's and party barges. This is my luck for most of my planned long trips. Maybe by the 17th of December for my next week long trip, the temps will be where I want them. If you hear someone screaming his head off from the direction of Dale Hollow, it will be me for I have just broken the 51 year old record. See you all in about a week for my report.

It is amazing how life works. All day yesterday I am packing all my gear getting ready to head to Dale for a week of chasing the record plus fish the Billy Classic and today I am as down in the dumps as one human can be. Not going to Dale at all this week due to something that came up last night at 11pm and I will be staying here all week. Being a Good Dad is so much more important than any smallie swimming, including a million 12 pounders. Good luck to those that do fish the Billy Classic, hope you do well. Changed my plans to possibly heading down the week before the get together and maybe could meet some of you guys there.

Being a good parent is 1st priority, The fishing thing is a sickness we all have but at the end of the day, it's just a expensive hobby. There will be more days.. Your 12 pounder is only 11.3 right now any way.. :7
