went last week to the upper dix river and caught about 50 male whts. in a matter of 2 hours, but they were small. caught a few big ones, but I'm afraid this run is going to be a little disappointing.
Looking for some info on whites running the creeks or rivers. Warm temps back to cold has everything all messed up. Thanks!

Thanks troutcrazy! Thinking of going down to Salt River. Last few years the numbers have been up but the size isn't anything like it has been in the past.
A buddy and I caught 29 and kept 17 white bass trolling on Herrington Monday evening. We fished from about 6pm till 8pm. #5 shap raps. We fished deep walls and shallow flats and caught fish around both. Plus a 4Lb. largemouth in about a foot of water. The largemouth was released after a quick kiss!!
Nice job WHERE AT..lol![]()
We trolled the flat and channel wall just around the corner from Kings Mill Marina. From Bryants, go through the no wake zone at Kings Mill then veer right then left. The flat will be on your left with a bunch of large houses and the channel bank will be on your right side. I always check this flat in spring, if they are there you can catch them really fast. It's alot of fun and I try to take people that don't get to fish much so I can get them hooked on fishing. I have a teenage daughter that can't stand fishing but she looks forward to white bass fishing in spring because the action is so fast. Good luck and good fishing!!!!
