The one that you go thru buckeye to get to.There is one right across from it on the Jessamien County side.

There are some bad eggs down around that ramp--and for the fishing it is a long way from the best part of the river that i like to fish lol--not had much luck in that area--but if you do go-go to your left that would be standing on the ramp looking left-go up to the first big bend-start fishing the bluff bank then you will get to those rock shoals sticking out--they can be good at times---from there go up the river and fish first big creek on the left go in there and go back to the first bend to the right--sneak in there quite you will find a nice hole there for catching fish--have a good trip-- george

Eh, the camp nelson ramp is awful right now. Went Friday afternoon/evening and it drops off at a very steep angle about 3 ft from the water. It was tough loading/unloading. Now, there are some great gravel bars upstream and of course, the lock. It was slow Friday and I had to work hard for the fish I caught. Both bass came on bandits and I caught a Walleye and a huge Perch as well up at the lock.

I much prefer the dix river pool.

Down at High Bridge, above Lock 7. You really have two options there, you can fish the main river, there are several creek mouths upstream from the ramp. Also, the Dix River runs into the KY and it is the stretch between Dix Dam and the River. Its cold water and once you get up in the Dix far enough and pass the mud line, you can catch rainbows and browns as well. Beware the lock, it is just downstream from the ramp. Not a big deal, but if you were to lose the rope or something, it wouldnt take long to be in big trouble

    Re: Kentucky River

The bass fishing in the Dix below the dam has been slow the past two weeks. A lot of 8 go 10 inch bass, with an occasional 12 inch, not been very active.

I fished the river Friday nite at Camp Nelson and yesterday at Sulphur well. Not much going on as Bonefish says. Very early bite and that was it.
