    Going to Cedar Creek Tues.

Me and my buddy are planning on going to cedar tuesday and was wanting to catch us some Crappie. Never been before, had some friends go and do pretty good. Anyone tell me some good spots for crappie? Thanks in advance.

I live here. Its not a very good lake for crappie. Very small-stunted fish. That's why the 9 inch size limit was taken off this year.

The crappie are small and thin, but plentiful. Cedar Creek is nice place to go if you are wanting to catch quantity, but not quality crappie. The lake as you know is full of cover and finding crappie is usually no problem; finding big crappie is another story. I usually catch crappie using traditional crappie baits, if using minnows then you will probably catch several bass also. I have also caught some nice channel cats(12"-15") while crappie fishing with minnows. Good Luck.

I was going tomorrow but I just heard the lake is very muddy. If you go please post the water conditions.

The upper part of the lake is never really muddy, although the lower part is very muddy. I went yesterday and caught quanity of the stunted brood. Also caught 3 bass over 3 lbs. Water temp was 49.
