Laurel report 6-14 to 6-15

Fished laurel sat night and done pretty good I think. We had 18.6 pounds on 5 fish. I think that is pretty good for this time of year on laurel. All fish except 2 where caught on jigs. Caught 8 fish all together and here is the order they were caught followed by depth and what bank. All fish were weighed on a digital scale. Just trying to have some fun with it that night..lol 1. 3.3 smallie 12 ft pea gravel secondary point 2. 4.3 smallie 15ft clay secondary point with one side being pea gravel 3. The same point same depth 4. 5.8 smallie..... It was a good fish, been feeding up good. 5. 3.2 smallie 20 ft pea gravel secondary point. 6. 2 lb largemouth about 2 ft deep on chunk rock main lake point. Also caught a keeper spot and another small largemouth. Fished alot of places and finally got on a little pattern.... Fished that was found were up feeding on secondary points. Moon has alot to do with that, and also the crawdads. Man they were THUMPIN that jig. 90% of the bites come when the jig was sitting on the bottom. They wanted it worked slow but when they got it, they really got it. I will post some pics tommorow when I get time. Hope this helps some people catch a few this weekend. Have never fished Laurel Lake, but glad you had a great time and caught a boat load of fish.

best i can figure andy is a secondary point is the points that go back up in the creeks behind your main lake points.... but some creeks are so big that the secondary points act as main lake points... so i dunno i usually start at the mouth and fish my way back.....
