it's a sealed unit WAS need a new one now

I have a Lowrance 330c depth finder that had some moisture appear on the inside of the LCD. Being curious, I opened the unit's case just enough to let air in until the moisture evaporated. I then close the unit back up and installed it back on the boat. Good thing is there is no moisture on the screen . The bad thing is the display only has line horizontal lines displayed. I have checked all of the connections and wires for electrical interference but no difference.
Could this ruin the unit, or could it be some other issue related to hooking it back up?
Any ideas would be appreciated....

I had the lines show up on my humminbird 595c after I droped it off the boat in my driveway. I had to send it into the factory to get it fixed.
I figured since the moisture was inside the unit that the seal had already been broken. Did not want to pay $199 to Lowrance to do something I could do myself. Oh well.... Thanks for the reply.

Looks like I will be doing the same.
Thanks,

Angler1976,
I would guess it's a connection problem. There are some flat connection cables that may have come unconnected. Check the connections, you have to release the wire and make sure its all the way in the connector and move the latch on the connector to lock the wire in place. good luck
you may need to take it back apart and make sure the screen isn't be pressed down by the outside lense,it may have moved out of the groove and is now under pressure when you screwed it back together...i have took a few of them apart and let them dri out then put them back together and use little silicone to seal it.sometimes they may get a little fog in them but they lasted quiet a few years before needing to be replaced..
