if you don't mind, what was the eye's hitting on. I've never fished for them on C-land and going to try and get down there in the next couple for the some wally fishing.

After finding what i thought was a pretty solid pattern yesterday, i returned to find the lake worse than yesterday. put in at conley and found MASSIVE debris from just up from conley to cumberland point (mouth of faubush) to around the first point. picked our way around to some areas that have held smallmouth but no takers. wind shifted and debris cleared out a little. fished in faubush with no takers. fished in white oak with no takers. ready to pack it in when boated one 17in smallie. encouraged (teased) proceeded to fish around conley before going in. boated 2 keeper walleye - one nearly 6# before calling it a day. bass sure were not where i left them. pulling lake hard to get it down and to try to "clean up" lake before the big race this saturday is moving fish i believe. temps generally 66-67 and only fished midlake. still with very heavy stain. upper end is clearing out of trash and with only mild stain. talked to a few others today and bass were very slow but walleyes seemed to bite with the overcast skies (and rain). thunderstorms predicted for next 3 days. more rain coming so who knows what the lake will look like. will post pix when i can fix technical problems..........AND NO THE WALLEYE WERE NOT CATCH AND RELEASE. off the water for next 2 wks. be safe and good luck.

caught them on spinnerbait while bass fishing. in NO WAY was i targeting them and my knowledge of them is scant. i am going to hopefully share boat with one of the better walleye anglers on Big C this summer - (you all know him by SSKY) and learn to pattern them. it is my understanding from the hardcore eye anglers that now is time for night bite. NO WAY i am traveling out after dark with what lake looks like now.
thanks for the info, I've never caught them on a spinner mostly crank's or rattletrap's.

Were they on rocky or mud bank's? creek's , main lake or point's. any info would help. I've been on cumberland a few time's but not enough to be real familar.
fish were cruising mud flats near a bluff well known for holding them. strange but they seemed to be cruising/feeding on the outside edge of some trash that had blown against the bank. i suppose they were feeding on baitfish that was blown in with the garbage. very strong winds here today 15-20mph. spinnerbait is about all that would come through the garbage migrating to the bank.
In all my days I have never seen a lake that could change patterns quicker than the big C. The minute you think you have it figured out it spanks you. Thanks for the report, those good days are what keeps a fella going. Man Anthony those Eye's will hmmm hmmm good.
Caught 3 walleye around 20" Monday night between 1-3AM on blue bombers. Mid ck against rocky banks. Next night...nothing except one striper broke my line...drag messed up. Very few blowups and shad were very sporadic.
