Can't answer your question. However, was interested in your opinion of the Revo Winch. How does it compare to other Revos, such as the SX models?

I just got a new winch and the brakes are differnent than last years model. Instead of the standard 6 pin brakes, they now have three spring loaded centrifigal brakes, and three brakes labeled "pitch" that are not spring loaded. I kind of understand the concept behind them (the spring loaded offer pressure at the initial cast then let off during the end to get more distance, where the pitch brakes apply pressure throughout). Does anyone have any experience with these? I am only going to use it for deep crankbaits, and would prefer to only turn on 2 brakes. Can I just turn on two of the spring loaded ones even though they are not directly accross from each other? Should I just turn on one spring loaded and one canstant "pitch" brake? Any idea.

I haven't fished much with the other revos so I can't really compare it to those. I have mostly shimano stuff. I used a winch for a day just for tossing deep crankbaits, and it was amazing in terms of distance, and that was my main reason for getting one. I haven't got to fish with it yet though, I will be out all day tuesday trying it out.
Thanks. Would appreciate an update once you have used one for a bit. Torn between picking up a Winch or another Revo SX. Light striper rod/heavy bass rod.
