Elkhorn tonight

Fished Elkhorn in Frankfort behind Jim Beam tonight, caught a total of 6 small largemouth and 1 rock bass. Saw a guy catch 2 big carp right by the dam, I fished further down where the water was a bit more calm. The fish were hitting Rebel Crawfish and Pop'rs. Anyone ever waded that area?

I have fished it several times. I usually catch smallmouth though. Most of the smallmouth I have caught have been right by the dam. I am going to fish Switzer covered bridge this evening for an hour or so. I'll let you know how I did.

I actually meant to say smallmouth, not largemouth, must've been sleepy when I typed that! What do you catch your smallies on up by the dam? We were throwing Rebel Crawfish but didn't have any luck right by the dam. I think we're going to the Switzer bridge this evening too so maybe we'll see you out there!

A texas rig green pumpkin small zoom tube is my smallmouth killer on elkhorn. I use a rebel craw too but most of my bigger smallmouth come on a tube. I will be out there tonite maybe I'll see you there.

I've never fished with tubes so you'll have to give me a few tips if you don't mind!
