You can go to bassfan.com and check out the report but it has been sold to an affiliate of Platinum Equity which now owns two of the top four bass fishing boats. Triton plant in TN will be closed and Tritons will now be produced in Flippin Arkansas.
So this means Ranger, Stratos, Champion, and Triton are all under the same company now. At what point do these guys violate anti-trust laws?
And to top it off they are gonna be produced in the same plant as Ranger??? Wouldnt this be like GM buying ford then making the Mustang in the Bowling Green vette plant?
Is Nitro the only bass boat they don't own?
Gamblers are scattered out here on KY Lake, Chargers are predominately in Missouri where they're made (a great boat by the way), Legend Boats are made in Arkansas and they have redesigned them and they are truly beautiful boats. There used to be Cobra Boats made in Arkansas too but I don't think they're around any more - another good boat, see alot of them on Bull Shoals. Oh and don't forget about BassCat Boats
Add Bullet Boats to the list too... still independent...
the one that really gets me is Tracker drove ProCraft into the ground to sell more Z9's...
