    Combat shopping day

Once again it's combat shopping day with all the old farts at Kroger's. Today is my fountain of youth day. I always feel much younger and more agile when compared to the "campers" in the soup aisle and the dawdlers in their electric carts. I harbor no ill will towards them as I'll probably be riding the electric carts myself sometime in the future.

I heard those people were Geritol cowboys riding steel horses.

we made the trek to mr codgers neighbor hood this morning. The gathering at the bran cereal isle, was epic!Close examination of each grape in the bad was the norm. One case of frost bite from an open freezer door. And the prices on most items even with the 10% discount was higher than many every day prices at wally world. The deli staff were surly at best. But this time we didn't need to pick up a prostrate shopper in the parking lot.

We stopped and ate at Long John Silver's before our shopping trip to avoid rule # 1 when grocery shopping." DON'T SHOP WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY." The cashier gave me the senior discount and I didn't even ask for it. (Didn't know they had one). I've just got to invest in some Grecian Formula and turn this hair and beard back to youthful looking brown.............Nah, I'd have to take a dip in it!!!!
