went down to florida last week did not do so good on the bass fishin but did do very well with the hogs. came back with 4 of them.

Man I remember my first hog hunt near Crossville, Tn many years ago. I used a Herters 401 powermag (black powder ) hand gun. I remember having the dogs run the hogs at us , me dropping down on one knee picking the boar out letting one rip and hauling a$$ for a tree. Man what a rush it seemed like it took an hour for the smoke to clear and there laid that boar with a hole right in his lower neck ,dead. I would love to have a video of that, I bet my short little fat butt was cookin headin for that tree. Great looking Hog thanks for sharing the pic and bringing back a fond memory for me ..Stratosjoe

we was down in citra fl it was awsome we had a ton of hog out where we was hunting. even got to see a bald eagle chase down some pigglets. that had to be the funniest thing ever. i cant wait till this fall when i can go back down with my bow and get some. i had 3 like 5 feet from my blind just chillin like i was not there. so much funner than deer hunting. my second one i got i was actually on the phone talking to the lil miss.

Give us some details.... Is it expensive... private land??? bag limits?

well i was on private land my uncle has the hog rights to a crap load of land. we did not have to get any lic. no bag limit. it was great. so i really dont know about the price to hunt thru a guided hunt. but i did find the coolest lil thing to keep misquetos away from you. therm a cell they sell them in wal mart pretty cheap. 20 for the unit and 6 for the refills i was on the edge of a swamp and never got bit once. they run off a gas cell and a puts off a lil smoke when you first light them up. we had deer 30 yards from us and they did not seem to care about it. i would say if you go out at night in the summer to do a lil catfishing or whatever i would look in to buying one. i did not know if they sell them in ky so i stocked up and went to walmart and found them in the camping area.
