Boone, must be a young man. to say < sometimes you just can't trust the gov.> as you grow older, and your hair gets white. you will learn < you can NEVER trust the gov.> or any other politican. boone, I would believe,< the shad swallowed the striper > before I would believe anything a politican said.

Mhall, I don't think this is necessarily bad for the lake or the river. Right now there's O2 aplenty in the lake at all levels. If we get this kind of rain once the lake stratifles, like we did last year, then we could be in some trouble again since it wont be able to replenish the drawn out O2 until the following winter. If all this rain gets out of mother nature's system now and we have a milder, dryer spring and summer, things could be fine. Thinking positive, crossing fingers........

Re: Wolf creek dam 80,000cfs ?????

If you look at the graph on the before mentioned website (corps web page) you will see the MAXIMUM discharge is 30,000 cfs The readings are computer generated from a sensor and sometimes outside interference will "jolt" the reading and give a false reading . BUT the Corp website is updated every hour so if you are looking for the correct reading use that one . Heck maybe the secondary websites are recording it wrong , don't know where you got the 80,000 reading..........It doesn't seem to be on the "corps" site ,I looked all the way back to Feb 4 at 4 am
http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/lakeinfo/ got to this page and click on year to date wolf crek ****....

Oh no if you guys are using this website you are getting "relayed info' go to the web page I mentioned earlier it is directly from the ****..

    http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/lakeinfo/

After you go to this page click on year to date wolf creek **** and then scroll down to the bottom of the page . You can see the lake elevation , and the river elevation . Best info page I have found. Also if you look back didn't see any 80,000 cfs
