LAKE SEMINOLE IS FULL, 70 DEGREES, THE FLINT IS STAINED, THE CHATTACHOOCHEE IS MUDDY AND SPRING CREEK IS CLEAR AND 80 DEGREES

Now you can see samples of the new Lowrance Structure Scan Down Scan product taken recently on Lake Lanier. http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishingreports/Lowrance.htm

Bass fishing is good and the shad are starting find their way into shallow water on flats and backwater pockets off of the main river. The shallow cranking bite is starting to pick up. Fish a Spro Little John in the new nasty shad color over grass flats on the main lake. Ripping the bait through the grass draws more strikes. Another good pattern for this time of year is to flip shallow grass and hyacinths in the backwaters of both rivers. Use a 1 ounce Tru Tungsten lead pegged with a 5/0 straight shank Gamakatsu hook. Make sure to use a heavy action flipping rod to pull the bass out of the thick cover such as a Falcon 7'6" Lowrider Heavy Action flipping stick. As the water temperatures continue to fall and the grass continues to die, expect the trap bite to pick up all over the lake.

LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 68 DEGREES, STAINED BY ROGER MCKEE, 706-342-8555

Now you can see samples of the new Lowrance Structure Scan Down Scan product taken recently on Lake Lanier. http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishingreports/Lowrance.htm

Largemouth bass fishing has been fair but could turn great any day now as the shad have been found in the backs of coves and major creeks lake wide. Lake Sinclair is stained and running between 64 and 68 degrees. Two different patterns have been productive over the past week: 1) fishing shallow docks in creeks and pockets off the main river with a jig head and trick worm or a 1/4 ounce Strike King Bitsy Flip jig in black and blue with a Zoom super chunk Jr. or casting a 1/2 ounce Strike King red eye shad in black and silver in the back of Rooty, Crooked, and Shoulder Bone creeks. Look for the shad rap bite to continue to improve as the water cools and gets into the high fifties and low sixties. It's hard to beat the chartreuse and pearl or fire tiger color patterns on Sinclair. Use 10 pound test P Line and a reel with a 5 to 1 gear ratio or lower to properly fish the shad rap. Slow your retrieve down to a crawl for more bites. With colder weather just around the corner, be sure to check your batteries, both starting and trolling, for corrosion/water level/ load test for optimum performance while on the water.

Lake Oconee, Georgia's first experience with a slot size limit for largemouth bass

Report Updated November 6, 2009

Now you can see samples of the new Lowrance Structure Scan Down Scan product taken recently on Lake Lanier. http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishingreports/Lowrance.htm

Largemouth Bass fishing is good. The lake continues to stay at full pool with water still coming in from the tributaries. Surface temperatures start the day around 64 degrees and warm to about 66 or 67 degrees as the day progresses. The water clarity still varies a great deal. The main lake has a light stain but as you move to the backs of the major creeks and above the HWY 44 bridge, the water can be quite muddy. Fish are being caught in all areas of the lake. Main lake docks have even yielded some nice 3-4 pound bass. The shad are prevalent in the coves, and the bass and striper/hybrids are chasing them. Watch the surface for activity and throw a 1/2 ounce blue and chrome Rat L Trap into it. Around the main lake docks use a white spinner bait, with a white grub trailer, and let it flutter down. Work it very slowly. Back in the coves fish the docks with a shaky head jig and your favorite plastic. Keep an eye open for the shad in the backs of the coves. The fish are feeding aggressively and it's a great time of year to be on Lake Oconee. The tournaments are back every weekend and the winning bags are getting bigger each week! Good Fishing!

Bass fishing is good and the lake is back up with stained water coming in to mix with clearer water down lake. Bass are scattered in a variety of areas from points to pockets and over open water. Fish cover in shallow stained water with a chartreuse/white Chatterbait or spinnerbait. These baits may pull better numbers early and late in the day. Include natural shad or fire tiger crankbaits depending on the water clarity. Bandit 100 and 200s, Shad Rap’s and Rat L Traps should cover water through the day. In clearer water use buzz baits, Sammie’s, and Rico's for a top water bite. Under high skies, work shallow to mid depth docks from the pockets to the main lake. Use a PB&J Net Boy Jig or shaky head rig on the docks.

Crappie fishing has been good. Cast 1/16 ounce jigs on 10 to 12 foot brush, blow downs and docks. Down lake areas and in the rivers are better for schoolers that will bite. They are very tight in the deep brush around the docks and marinas. Fish the deep brush around docks bridges and stump rows using live minnows

LAKE RUSSELL IS DOWN 3.7 FEET, 65 DEGREES AND STAINED BY TIM WHITE RAPALA PRO STAFF

Bass fishing is slowly getting better as the last remaining leaves fall off of the trees. Lake levels remain good and the extended forecast shows no more rain until next Tuesday. X-Raps continue to work well on the flats and points and the crank bait bite is picking up. Good wind has been blowing across the lake all week and with the full moon behind us, this will result in a little better fishing during the day. Worms and jigs still remain the bigger fish baits and you can rig them Carolina, Texas or on a jig head. You will need to fish all baits a little slower than normal for the next week. The full moon has passed, but is still shinning bright enough to keep a good night feeding table in place. This will change after this week. Expect to see those top water baits and spinner baits become more active in the next couple of weeks. If you plan to order the Lake Russell Fishing Guide for someone for Christmas; please allow two weeks for processing. This time of the year is busy for us, so get your orders in early.

Bass fishing remains good as the water temperatures continue to slowly drop. Tom Hall did find some 68 degree water up in the Soap Creek area and caught a bunch of Bass over the last few days. The bass were a little on the small size for the "Hill" with nothing over about the two pound size being caught. The main lake points are becoming more active along with the humps and rip rap. The good news is that the lipless crank baits and jerk baits are starting to come alive. November is an excellent month to use Clackin' Raps and Number Ten X-Raps. The bait fish are balling up in larger groups now, so don't forget about the top water action. The Georgia Little River from Cherokee ramp and north is becoming more active now. Besides the lipless cranks and jerk baits, anglers are using jigs and worms to top off their limits. The water should start clearing up a little more each day as the rain is expected to hold off for a while. You can also try using a 1/2 ounce white Terminator spinner bait on those long, run out points that the wind is blowing across.

LAKE WEISS IS AT 3.32 FEET BELOW FULL POOL, VERY STAINED AND 57 DEGREES BY MARK COLLINS GUIDE SERVICE

Now you can see samples of the new Lowrance Structure Scan Down Scan product taken recently on Lake Lanier. http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishingreports/Lowrance.htm

Now available for sale 50 of my proven GPS waypoints for off shore structure for Bass and Crappie fishing on Weiss Lake, Alabama. Contact Ken Sturdivant at ken@havefunfishing.com.

Bass fishing is good and bass have moved shallow on secondary points and shallow stump flats and the back of the coves, following the shad movement. Some coves and flats have huge schools of shad in them and the schooling bass are feeding on them with a few larger fish mixed in. Shallow running crank baits like the Gizz 3 and Gizz 4 from Smack Tackle and the Bandit 100 series are working. A 3/8 ounce spinner bait in chartreuse and white with double silver willow leaf blades is also a great fall bait, 1/4 and 1/2 ounce Rat L Traps in chrome and blue are also producing some great fishing. The upper part of Little River and the Chattooga River are loaded with spotted bass right now and they will stay there all winter, they are being caught on 4 inch Zoom ring worms in June bug, pumpkinseed and watermelon seed colors and a 5 inch Senko worms in these same colors are producing fish too.

Striper fishing is fair and they are being caught on the old river channel ledges and the flats beside the channel with live shad 8-12 feet deep.

Crappie fishing is fair and there are a lot of quality fish, 12-15 inches long being caught on the river ledges in 10-14 feet of water. Spider rigging with live minnows and Jiffy Jigs on the ledges of the old Little River and Chattooga River channel is the way to catch these fall fish. Look for sharp drops on the old river channel with cover, target the 10-12 foot range early and as the sun gets higher the fish are moving a little deeper to the 2-15 feet range. Stumps and brush in the deeper flats are also producing some Crappie. Shooting docks with a 1/24 ounce Jiffy Jig in colors JJ13 and JJ17 is producing some fish also.

LAKE GEORGE/EUFAULA IS FULL AND 77 DEGREES & STAINED UP NORTH AND CLEAR DOWN SOUTH BY CLAYTON BATTS

Now you can see samples of the new Lowrance Structure Scan Down Scan product taken recently on Lake Lanier. http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishingreports/Lowrance.htm

Bass fishing is good. The water temperature is staying pretty stable with the weather. The shallow water bite has been the deal with the cooler water temperatures. The best bite has been shallow but there is also some action on main lake ledges and creek ledges. There are many different options if you decide to fish shallow with the main key being covering water until you find the bait and fish with a variety of baits depending on the weather and what kind of cover you are fishing. The best big fish pattern has been throwing a Big Bite Baits Top Toad in green pumpkin pearl, a Natural Red Spro popping frog all day on the North end of the lake around Cowikee Creek and the River Bend area in the pad fields and isolated grass beds. When the wind gets up throw a white and chartreuse Picasso spinnerbait on wind blown grass points. The frog bite and spinnerbait bite has been great until blue bird skies appear and the best option becomes flipping a Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog in black blue around pads and in the mats that are at the mouths of pockets. If the spinnerbait bite disappears and there is no wind throw a Rick Clunn Lucky Craft RC1.5 in chart root beer. If you decide to go out and fish the ledges use your Lowrance electronics and find the bait starting with the ledges that lead back into the larger creeks to find out where the bait is. If there is no bait, there will be no fish. Search the ledges with a Spro Little John DD in nasty shad or Citrus Shad on 10 pound GAMMA Fluorocarbon. The weight transfer lets you cast it a mile which is important in the recent wind that we have been having. When you catch a fish get back in there as soon as possible because they will be grouped up. If the fish stop biting the crank bait change up a little and throw a silver flutter spoon or a Spro bucktail jig in white or white and chartreuse. To get the line go to www.gammafishing.com
